The Trials of Teaching in the Pandemic

In a letter to the editor of The New York Times, Jennifer Bryan offers a response to their article “U.S. Faces a New Crisis: ‘An Extreme Level of Teacher Burnout’,” which was published December 1. She challenges society’s expectations about “normal schooling” under pandemic conditions, as well as its response towards teachers, who are caught in the middle.
